A Badgework Portal was introduced to contain all the Scouting badgework with reference links in an updatable manner. Badgework Portal was published on 23rd of March, 2021 after 1 year of teamwork. The portal reached 1000 monthly views and the portal is accessed from various countries such as the United States, India, United Arab Emirates, Bhutan, United Kingdom, Ireland, Maldives, Philippines, Russia, Nigeria and New Zealand. Over 60 unique users(per month) use the portal with an average session duration of 8 minutes. This was backed by the Instructors and Group advisors of the Scout Group.

The badgework portal is accessed by all parts of the world and we have over 140,000 users since 2020 with a monthly count of 2.9k users gradually increasing upto this date. Gitbook allowed Scouts during the pandemic to overcome their fears and face the reality with features such as embed videos and attaching other content in a concise manner. The feedback system allows us to monitor the pages getting low responses and maintain. Gitbook’s SEO practices have been a great support for ourselves and the whole Scout community.

Any changes, adding and requests have to be structured to the following format

  • Documents can be formatted to a Microsoft Word .docx format
    • When structuring the Word Document the content should be followed by Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Paragraph stylings and Bold,Italics are also allowed
    • Images can be captioned
    • Documents. Attachments must be sent via email with the Structured Document(s) you are sending
